The Resignation Of John Marshall

We the united members of the Vanden Drumline, in the hopes of justfying our position on matters beyond our control write this peitition in the hope that our voices will be heard.

We have come to the point where we have been torn apart into factions and our unity that has been known to others for years, has been destroyed. This year there was all that talk about stepping up, and living up to the rep that we built up last year. And there it goes. This is how it ends. With the dismissal of Jonelle A., Brett T. and Ivy N. This is not right. Change is not a bad thing, but change only for personal gain is change not for the better of the group.

We who sign below, call for the resignation of John Marshall as Drumline Caption Head of Vanden High School. For not only acting unprofessionally in taking his place as our caption head, but also for disrespecting not only us as young adults but the adults who have only tried to work for the line and not against it. He has caused dissension amongst members and friends alike, and this will not stand for us.

It is our hope for a reconciliation instead of a revolution. But matters will be taken into effect as soon as this petition is signed and moved forward. It is our hope, that it does not come to an extreme for all members, friends and alumni alike, but one who tries to destroy everything that we stand by, cannot not be allowed or acceptable to lead the Vanden Drumline under no circumstances.
