The Road Rash Rebirth

Once upon a time, there was an excellent video game series that primarily focused on some of the finer aspects of high-quality living - driving motorcycles at irresponsible speeds, abusing race competitors with baseball bats, lead pipes, and billy clubs, encouraging proper etiquette towards law enforcement personnel (with a well-placed kick towards incoming traffic), and most of all, impossibly awesome alternative rock music that's perfect for elegant dinner parties, weddings, and of course, high-octane Hollywood-caliber fist-fights. Oh yeah, and doing somersaults in the air when your sorry a** inevitably smashes into a station wagon at 200 MPH. This series was known as Road Rash, and God saw that it was good.

Then during the era of the mighty Sony Playstation, the series rather quickly drove off a cliff, never to be again seen alive. Many wept, paid their respects, and punched the person closest to them in sheer rage. This, like many other series, has a solid following, a need for a modern reboot, and a hankerin' for some spankerin'.

The worst thing is, if you believe video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM), this reboot was indeed in the works. Criterion, creators of the BurnOut series and apparent huge Road Rash fans, chose a Soundgarden song as the opening theme for one of their BurnOut games as homage to the series, and EGM's rumor column stated one month that EA (short for Electronic Arts, the creators of the Road Rash series) was indeed rebirthing the much-beloved series. Then, a couple months later, the same column reported it dead. I'm sure more than just a couple people want it resuscitated.

That's where this petition comes in. The objective of it is, quite obviously, to convince The Powers That Be (EA) to begin work on a brand-new current-gen Road Rash game. People = Power (or Money, which is Power's right-hand man), so I'm hoping to get enough people to give EA maaaaaybe just a little hint that they should get crackin' on that.
