The U of C Community Supports Campus Workers

We, the undersigned, urge the University of Chicago to meet the demands of its workers by ensuring a decent level of job security and by providing wage increases of at least 4\% to all of its workers to keep up with the cost of living. Furthermore, we support the workers' calls for the University to reinstate step wage-increases, a system that rewards the experience and commitment of workers by giving wage increases for each year they have worked at the University. The workers of the University of Chicago are essential to its operation, and the University should and must recognize their service by providing the workers with the competitive wages and job security that should be expected of a great institution.
