There is currently a county ordinance that prohibits the playing of paintball in Isanti County, Minnesota.
This petition is to be used to show that people are interested in or would play paintball in Isanti County, Minnesota if the county ordinance were to be changed to allow this activity.
Paintball is being played all over the world, and in last year alone over 10 million Americans played paintball at least once at one of the locally operated fields.
According to American Sports Data Inc., paintball has recently moved ahead of snowboarding as the fourth largest alternative sport in the United States. Their study concluded that more than 8,700,000 people played paintball at least one time in 2002, and that 793,000 play at least fifteen times per year. -From Paintball 2Xtremes Magazine's January 2001 Issue
