To Create an Alternative Network to SyFy That Will Concentrate on Real, Old School Science-Fiction

We, the undersigned fans of real, old school science-fiction, hereby petition the above companies to consider creating a new cable network that can compete against SyFy and bring back real, old school science-fiction to television.

Since what was then The Sci-Fi Channel was taken over by NBC Universal, SyFy has strayed far from its purpose, showing horror movies, war movies like "The Day After", ECW wrestling, reality shows like "Ghost Hunters" and "Who Wants To Be A Superhero", James Bond movies and even "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit". Almost nothing SyFy shows now is real, old school science-fiction.

We, the undersigned, believe real, old school science-fiction should have nothing but spaceships, aliens and robots, not wrestlers, pirates, soldiers and monsters. If either or both of the companies we are petitioning create an alternative channel to SyFy, fans of real, old school science-fiction would turn to it in a heartbeat.

Fans of real, old school science-fiction are hoping that these companies will do the right thing and make us happy.
