Argh! The Uk Declared war on the Nazis. the Nazis bombed the Bejeezus out of the UK and other cities other than London, also got badly damaged- Portsmouth, Coventry Birmingham. I still have relatives that have the bomb shelters from then- I can't imagine

It is a sad situation when Americans are so impressed with other leaders simply because they can talk well. Don't judge Mr Blair by his speeches - look at his track record at home, and you will see a very mediocre performance indeed.
