In 1999 Anchor Bay Entertainment released Monte Hellman's cult classic Two Lane Blacktop on DVD, both on regular and tin can editions, the latter being limited to 15000 copies. Those DVD's are now long out of purchase, leaving many fans desperatingly hoping to find a copy at a reasonable price, with used copies raising to more than 150$ on eBay.
Universal, the original studio that produced Two Lane Blacktop, recently reissued the movie Repo Man on a seemingly high quality DVD, making the astoundingly high prices on eBay for Anchor Bay's previous edition disappear.
This petition welcomes the signatures of Two Lane Blacktop's many fans or just curious people wanting to discover a real cult classic of the seventies and asks for Universal to reissue Two Lane Blacktop on a DVD edition up to the standards of the "Repo Man" reissue in terms of quality and contents.
