Dear Dr. Tom Osborne-
As Athletic Director of the University Of Nebraska Lincoln, and as a former national championship football coach and state representative, we owe you a debt of gratitude for what you have done for our amazing state.
Not all of us currently live in Nebraska, but we share in common a unique reverence for Nebraska sports. And today, we want to reach out and share our opinion about one team that has not been performing to our standards.
The University of Nebraska Lincoln baseball team has shown excellence in the past. From past regional, super-regional and CWS appearances, coupled with Haymarket Park and the CWS being annually in our backyard, we are disappointed with recent performance.
To wit, we would like to see a change in the leadership of the baseball program. Mike Anderson has been supported by many as an outstanding person. But his performance on the field no longer justifies continued employment as our coach.
Dr. Osborne, we respectfully request that you make this change now, and give us renewed hope for the upcoming baseball season. We in turn will show our increased support of the program through attendance and excitement.
