USA Laws on Child Abuse and Molestation,

With the outbreak of children being snatched, raped, abused, and killed, many people find themselves overwhelmed by emotion, especially those who have personally suffered through the horror of abuse.
We, the undersigned, are survivors of molestation, rape, and physical abuse, and are deeply affected by the recent news stories of innocent children being victimized. We see all too clearly, and know all too well firsthand, that something has to change. Stiffer laws need to be put in place regarding the animals who are responsible for these atrocities. You fight to stop terrorism all over the world; this is a terror in our country being committed by our own parents, friends, siblings, and strangers as well. These horrific crimes are being done to our children, our leaders of tomorrow.
I am a survivor at the hands of my own parents and brother, and do not understand why you limit our time of prosecution. When we start to recall these memories, it takes so long to work through them. Some survivors don't make it very far; they end their lives before healing has even begun.
Countries like Canada don't put a time limitation on prosecuting sex offenders. They don't require the survivor to attend the trial or testify against the abuser if it happens to them while a minor. I think this would be a great way to start with changing laws within the U.S.A.. The monsters who are doing this need to realize they will face THE maximum sentence permitted. In this country they are getting away with a slap on the wrist in a majority of these cases.
We, as survivors, think a maximum sentence should be mandatory, and the convicted offenders should not be allowed to live separately from the rest of the prison population. Most convicted sex offenders are isolated for their safety. Forgive us, but we don't care about their safety. They didn't care about the safety of the children they abused, molested, raped, and killed during their sick acts of sex upon us.
We are going to do a March On Washington, DC on March 23, 2003 to show in force that We are sick and tired if how the Monster that commits this Crime is let off. We are joining together to Demand Stiffer Laws. If you would like to join in this Quest please feel free to contact me or join our group.
