This semester [Fall 2006], Milwaukee County Transit Routes 40U and 44U drastically cut their service. Neither route has a return from the UWM campus after 5:30 pm. We The Undersigned find this unacceptable. UWM students, staff, and faculty, especially those on limited budgets, rely on this transportation to get to and from campus. The lack of a return bus after 5:30 pm makes this transportation impractical for the many who would otherwise take advantage. It is unreasonable to expect all students to take classes that let out before 5:30 pm. We The Undersigned would like to see expanded operation of routes 40U and 44U.
