VHS/GBHS consolidation? I think not. Assimilation is more like it. Red to be added as a VHS school color.

When Valley High School and Gauley Bridge High School were "Consolidated" there was to be a consolidation, not an assimilation. I'm pretty sure I know the meaning of consolidation. It's basically combination, I see no proof that GBHS was combined with VHS. VHS's school colors were Blue and Gray, and continue to be. GBHS's school colors were Red and Gray. Nothing about VHS's school culture has changed to make room for GBHS other than some schedule changes, a new principal, and new teachers. Big Deal, eh? I stand up for what I believe in and I believe VHS's school colors should be Blue, Red, and Gray to show the consolidation of the two schools. Think of how the former students of GBHS must feel? They came into this consolidation thinking they would get something out of it. No, they became VHS Greyhounds, their former rivals. This Petition is to petition red as a school color. I'm all for red being added to blue and gray.
