Victim Deserves Justice by Police Probe

The Union City Police Department has an obligation to probe all citizen complaints regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or age.

I filed a police complaint against a Union City police officer that the police department refused to investigate. Due to this fact, I had the complaint registered on the internet online with the Copwatch International Database at copwatch.com under the state of California, Complaint ID:7.

Is the Union City Police Department aware that everyone who reads the complaint will believe that the department is corrupt because of failing to investigate a legitimate complaint? This is the reputation the department will acquire when failing to probe all complaints against police officers. In addition, it is discriminatory for the police to pick and choose from complaints which police officers will be probed and which police officers will not be probed. It is unfair to those police officers who are investigated to learn that their fellow police officer with a similar complaint from a citizen is not being investigated.

The Webster's New Elementary Dictionary definition of police is "The department of government that keeps order and enforces law, investigates crimes, and makes arrests." We, the Undersigned, demand that the Union City Police Department fulfill all the duties of the definition of police.

The Union City Police Department is setting a bad example for other police departments to follow by failing to investigate a police complaint made by a citizen. Also, the Union City Police Department is not exempt from performing the duties of the police when the issue involves an investigation of one of your own police officers. Police officers are not above the law and should not be treated as such.

Everyone who files a police complaint deserves to have their complaint investigated. We want justice for all citizens. In order for that to occur we want the Union City Police Department to perform the duty of investigation into all complaints including my complaint that you have received.

The American criminal justice system is corrupt when a defendant is convicted by coercion, abuse of power, concealing evidence, and it fails to investigate the case to cover-up for the real perpetrator. Even if the perpetrator will never be prosecuted because the Union City Police Department allowed the statute of limitations to expire on my complaint, a probe will clear my name and will prove that I was not the perpetrator of a crime, but rather I was the victim.

The Illinois Supreme Court made a ruling that it is not double jeopardy for a defendant to be retried for the same crime when the verdict involves corruption. (State of Illinois vs. Harry Aleman). This ruling is a precedent for all of the United States of America. Perhaps I may be retried under this same ruling.

In pursuit of justice as a victim of a crime I deserve to have a probe into my complaint without discrimination.
