Viewers Should Get to Vote if Jessica Peralta shall come back to SYTYCD

We, the undersigned and also viewers of SYTYCD, feel that the episode of the FOX reality series "So You Think You Can Dance" that was aired on June 28, 2007 was deliberately unjust and unnecessarily prejudicial towards Jessica Peralta. Many of us have been fans of 'So You Think You Can Dance' and have liked it very much, until last nights show where Jessi was sent home WITHOUT THE VOTE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE - something that is an integral part of the show's procedure and, quite honestly, appeal. We get to enjoy fabulous dancing, learning from usually very qualified judges and to "meet" young people with inspirational lives that we hope and pray will have very successful futures through their accomplishments via your shows.

Jessi, as you are very well aware, was sent to the hospital and was unable to perform with her partner Pasha during Mondays taping. Jessi was on stage a few days after, performing the opening dance, the Cha Cha and also gave a fabulous solo that showed the world her diversified talents only to be sent home without AMERICAS VOTE and without ANY EXPLANATION from the judges!! Remember, your show always says, Remember your votes could have kept the dancers safe and away from the judges. Well, we had no chance to vote for Jessi.

This is purely unacceptable and we, viewers of this program, including the consumers of your sponsors' products are now demanding someone to look into this injustice on the behalf of Jessi. Not only do we want an explanation as to why Jessi was sent home, but, to set things right, a chance to VOTE for Jessi.

I trust this will be restored in good faith. Since there is more than one weeks time before the next show which is on July 11, 2007, if Jessi is voted back then the dancers will still have plenty of time to rehearse for their routines. If a vote for Jessi is to be commenced, another male dancer could be voted back in too. One suggestion for the system of voting could be a poll on your website such as the current one: Of the contestants voted off, who would you like to see come back. On July 12ths eliminaton show, two boys and girls could be VOTED off. The show will still be in good order. There are a lot of people that are very, very upset about this and are threatening to discontinue not only watching the program, but using any products by your sponsors as well. Please know this isnt a vote we dont agree with, this is a vote we werent allowed to make. If Jessi does have a medical condition that makes it impossible for her continuation on the show, then we as viewers would wish to know this. Also, we feel that Jessi deserves an apology for the way that she was treated on live television tonight, being asked to leave without an explanation.

We hope Fox and the producers and judges at SYTYCD will take this and any other correspondence you receive to heart and do the right thing for Jessi.
