Wage Theft in Canada

Wage theft has become common practice in Canada. It ranges from not paying overtime, to number of hours worked, to deducting stolen items in a store from someone's pay cheque.

This has to stop and there has to be some sort of punishment that is actually intimidating instead of just having to pay the money back and a small fine. In most cases, the money that is required to pay back to the employee is never enough to deter this behavour. However, if there was a harsher penalty such as revoking the business owners business liscence this behavour might happen less often.

It is time for everyone that this is happening to, or knows someone that has to deal with this situation to take a stand and sign this petition to stop wage theft and unfair treatment of employee's.
