Washington State's Stand on Same Sex Marriage

Last Year Washington State became another step closer to full equality, and refusing discrimination to those who are in the LGBT community, when Referendum 71 passed the November election, and allowed the new domestic partnership law to go into effect on July 26, 2009.

However we as Washingtonians and/or Americans don't see this as the end of the road. Marriage like many other States is not allowed between same sex partners in Washington State. We wish this to change, and are speaking up on behalf of not only the thousands of LGBT community members in Washington state but also of those who are in other states who have yet to allow Marriage or any type of domestic partnership.

We sign this petition as a way of saying we are not giving up. We want our government to stand up for us as people! This petition will be given to the Washington State Officials in hope that we can soon put a stop to the discrimination!
