We, the undersigned, fully condemn Ehud Olmert and the government of Israel and demand they provide viable financial support to the Holocaust survivors still alive in Israel.
Olmert and his government utterly disrespect the six million (and more) Jewish murdered by Nazis during the Holocaust by the foul and evil treatment they prescribe to those who have survived.
Many of these Holocaust survivors are starving and need special home care. To their needs, Ehud Olmert decided he would allocate $20 a month each.
This is a travesty. While Israeli government officials rake in huge salaries, while organizations like Yad Vashem and the US Holocaust Museum are granted millions of dollars by the Claims Conference fund, which was originally set up to provide some sort of financial aid to people whose entire lives were shattered by the Germans, Olmert deigns to offer these poor people (who are often called "Sabonim", meaning, SOAP) $20 a month each from the money that was designated for them, that has been misappropriated likely into the coffers of the politicians who refuse to help these poor people.
We believe a crime is being perpetrated by Olmert and the rest of the Jewish establishment organizations (yes, that includes Yad Vashem, the US Holocaust Museum and any program ostensibly of Holocaust education that is squandering funds).
We demand a cessation to this selfish greediness and that proper respect, in financial measure, be shown to the Holocaust survivors in Israel immediately, by Olmert and the Israeli government.

I am a 2nd generation Holocost Survivor. My parents do not or have never lived in Israel, but i have. You have a Yom Hashoah & I'm sure there is money made for Israel, from all who visit & support Yad Vashem. I think that it's hypocritical of you

this is a slap in the face of those who decided to leave Europe and come to Israel. The survivors who stayed in Europe were much better of than their IsraeliShoah survivor brothers
