This petition is to voice our profound protest to the publication of the unfounded article Students suspected of spying for Iran, dated 10 September 2007. This article has been authored by Richard Kerbaj and published in The Australian. In this article, Iranian students were speculatively accused of being spies for Tehran.

We, the cosignatories, wish to refute the false and damaging allegations contained in this article that Iranian students are conducting spying activities whilst in Australia. These unsubstantiated allegations are entirely baseless and hurtful and do nothing to further constructive dialogue.
