We, the undersigned, would like to see a creche facility provided at Freedom Leisure, Hailsham.

If you would like to see an onsite creche facility at the fitness and leisure facility, operated by Freedom Leisure, on behalf of Wealden District Council, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, please sign this petition. Other Freedom Leisure centres in the Wealden area have succesful creches (namely Crowborough and Uckfield) and users of Freedom Leisure in the Heathfield, Hailsham, Hellingly and surrounding rural areas need to travel to these other centres to be able to use the facilities. Any creche at the Hailsham site would need to be operated on a similar basis - weekday mornings, between 9:15 and 11:45 for a fee of £3 for a 1 hour session. Children would be taked from 6 weeks to primary school age.

For any Mums out there who have recently had babies, or Mums to be, Freedom Leisure can offer great post and ante natal advice on keeping in shape after and during pregnancy, as well as when little ones are growing up. It just seems bizarre that this service ( as well as al the other classes they offer) is restricted in the daytime as parents and carers are unable to use this service unless they can find other childcare provisions.
