Blindley Heath is a small village in Surrey cut in half by the A22. Heavy traffic thunders down the A22 and whilst we have a 40mph speed, rarely is this adhered to. A recent speed watch conducted showed that the average speed was far nearer 50mph. That said, the village has a primary school, church, playing fields, bus stops, restaurant and various other facilities, all of which residents need to cross the road one way or another to get to. Blindley Heath is a residential village but is not treated as such, either side of Blindley Heath are villages who have successfully campaigned to have their speed reduced to 30mph and now it is our turn. If you agree that Blindley Heath should have a 30mph speed restriction, then please sign this petition.
WE ALL USE THE A22 AS PEDESTRIANS IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, PLEASE DON'T LET ONE OF US BECOME A VICTIM OF SPEED.
