WI GI BILL - LEAVE IT ALONE!

Currently there is a movement in the State Senate and Assembly to renege on the promises made to veterans leading up to the 2006 elections. Actions taken recently by the State Senate and Assembly would exclude all Veterans who have been out of the service for more than 10 years.
The Wisconsin GI Bill is a tremendous benefit for all veterans that entered the service from the state of Wisconsin, regardless of how long they have been out of the military they could go back to a University of Wisconsin school or Technical college and have 100\% of the tuition remitted starting the fall of 2007.
Furthermore, if that veteran has a 30\% service connected disability or higher their children can attend those schools with 100\% of the tuition and fees remitted, and their spouse would qualify within 10 years from the date of service connected rating. There is no bar for level of study or time the veteran has been discharged from the military. Its a great benefit for the many veterans that need to further their education to enhance their lives and their familys lives and will as a whole, be an investment in the economy of the state.
The undersigned citizens wish to communicate clearly to their State elected officials that they DO NOT approve of changing the WI GI BILL as signed into law in 2006.
