Green is the color of freedom. It's the color of voices for OUR freedom.
Freedom has been taken away from us, our votes have been stolen, and our friends have been savagely killed, imprisoned and punished, because we want FREEDOM!
After the last presidential election (12Th June 2009) in Iran, the green color has been the symbol of freedom for us, the color of the opposition movement.
It is surprisingly pathetic for people of other countries to know that: The dictator government forbids us to wear green cloths or even have any green symbols.
We, as representatives of the suppressed but hopeful people of Iran, highly appreciate the support from other countries.
Our voices have been shut up and we have no single permission to object.
Now, by this, we are kindly asking the players in the ground of World Cup Final match to wear green wristbands to defend us, to encourage us, to make us feel that we are not alone & you still care to support us.
We also would be grateful if you who would go to watch the matches in the stadiums wear green cloths on behalf of us, raise green flags, put green bands around your head, arm and wrist.
