This petition is directly addressed to you because only you can rethink about the made decision. The decision of ending A-ha.
We, Brazilians, have followed your Farewell Tour with a mix of joy, adoration and completely sadness and abandonment for not wanting to believe that this is the very last tour. We and fans all over the world do not want to believe that we will not listen to your new or old songs, will not see you playing live and will not feel the mutual love and admiration anymore. The three of you created the best band of our times and all the records of music and public have testified it along these 25 years.
We fully respect your decision and we totally understand your need to carry on with your individual projects and lives. Be sure we will follow them as well. Nevertheless, what A-ha is leaving as its legacy can not be left behind or can not be silenced. We want you with us, playing for us, exchanging this mutual affection and admiration that have marked our lives and yours.
Therefore, we have the right to claim what is ours by right too: your legacy which is also our legacy. For all those years we have cheered, cried and celebrated, by listening to the songs you have written straight from your minds and hearts, and that also got straight into our minds and hearts.
Be sure, you are the soundtrack of our lives.
PLEASE, LEAVE US ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER YEAR, ANOTHER DECADE. WE LOVE YOU.
