Yes Induction Into RRHOF

Once again, Yes has been denied enterance into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . Granted, most of the inductees belong there. In the past few years, however, there have been more and more "newcomers" getting in ahead of such older same-genre bands as Yes and ELP. Recently, inductees included The Pretenders and U2. Where were they in 1968? Previous newer, but successful, inductees include Queen, Tom Petty, The Ramones , The Talking Heads ,The Clash and many others. Somewhere eventually they deserve to be in, but NOT ahead Yes that has been around and active since 1968.

I really don't understand this snub other than the fact that it's not only political, but a popularity contest. Surely they can't consider Yes and ELP anything but Rock and Roll, albeit "Prog rock". They are most definitely more so than Michael Jackson (2001 AND 1997 as Jackson 5), The Staple Singers (1999)and others.

I realize that to boycott the RR H of F would be pointless, but I implore everyone reading this to petition the committee to induct Yes
