YRT bus fare continual increase

York Region Transit systems have been continually (to the dissatisfaction of its commuters), increasing the bus fares. Just recently there was a strike in October 2011 that affected more than 44,000 commuters. It lasted until February 2012. Then to compensate for the period in which YRT had no service, they gave free fare until March 2012. However this act was of false kindness. After New Years the YRT bus fare went from $3.50 to $3.75. Now they are declaring that they will again increase the fare required to use their transit system to $4.00. They are trying to make profits due to the period in which they could have been making during the strike.
