CONTRA LA AGRESION DE USA Y OTAN A LIBIA. NO A LA INVASION

A quien corresponda: El pasado 17 de marzo de 2011 el Consejo de Seguridad de las Naciones Unidas declaró el establecimiento de una zona de exclusión aérea mediante la Resolución 1973, autorizando a los Estados miembros de la ONU el uso de “todas las medidas necesarias” para proteger a la población civil de Libia, con exclusión expresa del uso de fuerzas de ocupación en cualquier lugar del territorio. Dicha resolución se ampara en una supuesta “masacre” del gobierno de Gadafi contra los manifestantes que salieron en protesta demandando reformas sociales y económicas a mediados de febrero. Según la cadena Al Jazeera las fuerzas del ejército habrían bombardeado en Trípoli a los manifestantes causando cientos de víctimas mortales. Sin embargo, no hay pruebas objetivas que puedan corroborar el uso de la fuerza indiscriminada, y mucho menos de bombardeos contra la población civil, por parte de las autoridades libias. Tras las primeras protestas, inmediatamente se inició un levantamiento armado en la ciudad de Benghazi, lo que ha desencadenado un enfrentamiento entre fuerzas del ejército y milicias opositoras procedentes del este del país. En tal caso ya estaríamos hablando de un conflicto interno entre dos bandos armados y no de represión contra manifestantes. Aún así la resolución 1973 se ha determinado en base a una serie de informaciones que han resultado ser falsas a través de varios medios cuya imparcialidad ha quedado en entredicho. Hay evidencias de que esos medios, en lugar de informar, están ofreciendo únicamente una de las versiones del conflicto, y deliberadamente ocultan información que comprometería la credibilidad de la intervención “humanitaria” en Libia. Apenas se ha mencionado que el gobierno de Gadafi recibe el apoyo de la mayor parte de la población civil, y tampoco se está informando sobre las agresiones del bando rebelde en contra de los intereses del pueblo libio. Por su parte, el gobierno ruso ya ha demostrado que el principal argumento para intervenir en Libia, el bombardeo contra civiles por parte del ejército libio, nunca se ha producido. La Resolución 1973 únicamente autoriza a proteger a la población civil. Sin embargo las fuerzas de la OTAN han vulnerado dicha Resolución al tomar parte activa en la lucha contra el gobierno de Gadafi, favoreciendo los intereses del bando rebelde. Las fuerzas de la OTAN están llevando a cabo ataques militares en territorio libio, y el número de víctimas mortales entre la población civil a causa de la agresión aliada ya supera la supuesta “masacre” que se pretendía evitar. Por su parte, la OTAN ha desestimado la Hoja de Ruta propuesta por la Unión Africana para buscar una solución pacífica al conflicto. Si bien el gobierno de Gadafi se ha mostrado favorable a las negociaciones, no parece que la OTAN tenga interés por cesar las agresiones. Tras la muerte del hijo y varios nietos de Gadafi el pasado 1 de mayo a causa de las bombas “inteligentes” de la OTAN, y varias declaraciones por parte de las fuerzas aliadas afirmando que Gadafi es un objetivo legítimo, tenemos serios motivos para pensar que desde el principio nos están mintiendo y el objetivo de esta intervención no es el de proteger a la población civil. Ya tenemos varios precedentes de manipulación mediática para justificar una guerra “humanitaria”, y al final siempre sale perjudicada la misma población civil que supuestamente se pretende proteger. Por todo lo anterior nos solidarizamos con el pueblo libio y a través de este comunicado exigimos el cese inmediato de la intervención militar para buscar una solución pacífica al conflicto mediante el diálogo y la negociación. De igual manera mostramos nuestro rechazo a una agresión internacional que únicamente está causando la pérdida de vidas inocentes en base a una intervención que viola el Derecho Internacional y va en contra de los principios democráticos más elementales. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To whom it may concern, On 17th March the United Nations Security Council declared the establishment of a no-fly zone by Resolution 1973, authorizing UN members to use "all necessary measures" to protect civilians Libya, with the explicit exclusion of the use of occupation forces anywhere in the territory. The resolution relies on a so-called "slaughter" of Gaddafi's government against demonstrators who came out to protest demanding social and economic reforms in mid-February. According to Al Jazeera, military forces have bombed protesters in Tripoli causing hundreds of deaths. However, there is no objective evidence which could corroborate the use of indiscriminate force, much less of bombings against civilians, by Libyan authorities. After the first protests, immediately began an armed uprising in the city of Benghazi, which has triggered a confrontation between military forces and opposition militias from the east. In this case we would be already talking about a conflict between two armed groups and not of repression against demonstrators. Yet the resolution 1973 is determined based on a series of information that have proved false through various media whose impartiality has been compromised. There is evidence that the media, rather than inform, are offering only one version of the conflict, and has deliberately concealed information that could compromise the credibility of the "humanitarian" intervention in Libya. Is hardly mentioned that Gaddafi's government is supported by most of the civilian population, neither is being reported of the aggressions on the rebel side against the Libyan people's interests. For its part, the Russian government has already shown that the main argument for intervening in Libya, the bombing of civilians by the Libyan army, never occurred. Resolution 1973 authorized only to protect civilian population. But NATO forces have violated this resolution taking an active part in the fight against Gaddafi's government, favouring the interests of the rebel side. NATO forces are conducting military strikes on Libyan territory and the number of fatalities among the civilian population because of the allied aggressions exceeds the so-called "slaughter" that was intended to avoid. For its part, NATO has dismissed the Road Map proposed by the African Union to find a peaceful solution to the conflict. While Gaddafi's government has been favourable to the negotiations, it seems that NATO has not any interest in the cessation of attacks. After the death of son and several Gaddafi's grandchildren because of the "smart" bombs of NATO on last May 1st, and several statements by allied forces saying that Gaddafi is a legitimate objective, we have serious reasons to believe that from the beginning we are being fooled and the objective of this intervention is not to protect civilians. We have several precedents of media manipulation to justify a "humanitarian" war, and at end it always civilians alleged to be protected loses out. For all the above we show our solidarity with the Libyan people and through this release we demand the immediate cessation of military intervention to seek a peaceful solution through dialogue and negotiation. Similarly we show our rejection to an international aggression that is only causing loss of innocent lives based on an intervention that violates international law and is against most basic democratic principles.
