Sony VAIO Problem with heating up and cracked LCD

I had sent my 3 months old Sony Vaio 460PB laptop for the problem of overheating to Sony Service. Later I learnt that unit reached them with cracked LCD.
After three months of effort trying to talk to customer information center, I received the unit back with cracked LCD. The crack appeared exactly at the place where LCD rests (once closed) on the spot which was generating immense heat, enough to injure one's palm.
This puts my 3400$s down the drain.
There was nobody in customer information center to listen to me. It was only their technician who received the unit, declared physical damage and never did any body try to resolve the issues with its true perception.
This is an appeal to Sony Research and Development department and customer service to save many out there getting in such problems and no body there to get away from stereo type resolutions and look into actual matter.
